March Town Hall Meeting Notes 2024

Announcements

We are two months into our new Town Hall meeting format along with the Kudos system. Tomorrow is another time change so times on Skade will be a bit weird for awhile as the US goes forward one hour in time, so just remember to watch the Unix timestamps posted by valkyries in happening today and other avenues.

Kudos

We have received many submissions for Skaders to receive Kudos this month. These players are; Jakie, Benx, Rin (x2), Dusty, Rylee (x2), Owlie, bb, Supah, Lucario, Jake (x2) and Pix.

Skade Quests

Another new feature to Skade Quests Evan has been working so hard on revamping is a Skade Quests Raffle! Prizes are still being worked out but one of them will be a 10$ Amazon gift card. These will be done 4 times through the year starting in April. Every 5 points you receive from a skade quest you get one raffle ticket. This is another way for Skaders to still be able to win something from Skade Quests even if you don’t win something at the end of the year with having the most points. Starting next Town Hall meeting in April be sure you join in on the Midgard minecraft server if you have Minecraft and play as the raffle will take place and happen on the server.

Asgard

Asgard spawn is almost done! There is now a Mailroom and a Shopping area ready for players on the server to be able to get mail and also have a shop to sell things. At spawn currently there is a small area that bb has made for Skaders to be able to use whatever blocks they feel would look good for a path and start helping build the paths, as this is a way for Skaders to still feel somewhat involved in the spawn building process.

There are some new quests within the FTB Quest book on the server that bb has been working on for Skaders to be able to do on the server that goes along with things like the custom ad astra planets n1n worked so hard on working since asgard was still being developed.
Skade Write-off

In regards to the Skade Writing contest, just remember that you don’t have to write full novels. You can write short stories, poems, a screenplay, or any sort of writing type thing. Make sure you submit your own work, no plagiarism.

Skade Wiki

Over the past almost three years we have been teasing the idea and over the past few months sneak peeks of the wiki itself, it is finally here. Go check it out here.

Audiobooks

The Content Team starting this month will be making audiobooks of different writings Skaders have submitted to Writing competitions. The Content Team will be getting consent from the authors of different stories, poems and things like that and will be recording an audiobook to publish to the Skade Gaming youtube channel. Either a representative from the team will read each story or the author has the option to actually read their own.
