February Town Hall Meeting Notes 2024

Skade Points

Skade points have been out on Skade for an entire month, and you all seem to love it!
One small minor change that has been made to them, is bonus quests, which are worth two points, will be released across the month, instead of releasing several of them in one go, meaning there will be more suspense with the quests, and keeps everyone busy during the month!

Ideas

The Valkyries have completely gone through all of the ideas, and several of them have been approved or are under review!

The ideas are going to be looked at on a weekly basis, so that any new ideas are immediately addressed.

Some of the new ideas that were approved, that have been brought to Skade are:

• /fly at the Midgard Mall!
• A directory for the Nether Hub! The Spawn team are going to be in charge of this going forward
• Global Sound Events have been disabled. If a wither is spawned, by someone else, you aren’t going to hear it 10,000 blocks away!

If your idea is rejected or not accepted, it will not be publicly announced. On Skade we don’t want anyone to feel rejected or not heard, so if you had an idea and it wasn’t approved, and you want to know why, feel free to privately reach out to a Valkyrie and they will explain why!

Upcoming Events

Happy Hearts Day

Love is in the air! Our annual Valentine’s event is coming on the 17th of February, at 3pm EST!

Skade fully embraces the ritual of Valentine’s Day, but it’s also a day about friendship. You don’t have to take a date with you, even if other couples are going! More info on the event is in the event news channel!

Some Words from Jake

Jake is pleased to announce on behalf of the media team, that if you have any ideas for a cool TikTok or YouTube short, or something that the media team could cover, please do not hesitate to post it in the ideas channel! The media team will take a look and do their best to incorporate any ideas you share with them!

Additionally, the Where Is It Wednesday that celebrates Chinese New Year is a banner. You can actually take four of them, as it’s one you can put around a lantern, so you can build your own Chinese Lantern!

New End Spawn

The End Spawn build team came together and finally have created the End Spawn for Midgard!

The island looks incredible, and has been built with a lot of beautiful techniques. The theme was supposed to be a Viking-Cyberpunk style, but you can also still see there are all the aspects you would expect with a conventional End Island. It also comes with an area where you can spawn and kill Withers! It’s down the stairs in the centre of the island, underneath the central portal.

All that can be said is a huge well done to the build team who worked tirelessly to put this together, and an exciting day for those who want to explore the End!
