August Town Hall Meeting Notes 2024

Announcements

Due to Blue being very very sick and still recovering but feeling much better and also just needing more time to prepare. The Skade Olympics is being pushed back a month.

A big rule change is being made to our rules on swearing where in the past we have always allowed mild swearing in a reactionary setting, this is being changed to just allowing swearing in typical conversation. We're all more mature here when it comes to the majority of the community as a whole. However because swearing is allowed please keep it in moderation, NEVER swear at anyone, and absolutely DO NOT be offensive. Lastly, please be considerate to other people around you. If you are in a VC with a bunch of people and you know someone feels uncomfortable with some swear words or someone expresses it, be respectful to that individual. Again, we’re all mostly mature enough to know what’s right and what’s wrong just have common sense. If you have any questions or concerns please please don’t hesitate to ask a valkyrie or any concerns go to blue.

Kudos

We have received many submissions for Skaders to receive Kudos this month. These players are; Rin_Elf x2, Owlie, Nash, Evan x2, Jake x2, SupahJman. Thank you to all who gave these wonderful kudos this month it’s really nice to be able to get complimented on the good people do cause we need more of it in this world.

Looking for Games on Skade

We are now adding a new discord channel and role to the skade server called “looking for game” this is for skaders to be able to ping a looking for game role to play a game on skade outside of what we are playing. You can also do this for the restricted media category as well but be sure you do have the restricted media role to do so.

Noteblock Music Showcase

We are having a really fun activity on skade for all of the noteblock song and just music lovers or creators to make a noteblock song on the valhalla creative server. It can be anything you want but you have to make A SONG obviously you can’t just play one note and done, remember this is all common sense stuff. Deadline to submit your creations is on the 23rd of this month.

Midgard Zoo

One of our valkyries bb and one of our skaders amooodle are going to be unveiling a new community build on the midgard minecraft server that is a midgard zoo that bb calls “azooodle”. This will be fully unveiled tomorrow at 2:00pm EST, this will be really fun thing that we may also see more stuff every so often where amooodle will teach us things about different animals.

New Hoglin Farm

New farm has officially been unveiled by the farm team and new and improved hoglin farm on the midgard minecraft server, due to the 1.18.2 update breaking the farm the team has had to completely redo the hoglin farm and it is actually a lot faster now. Another new farm as teased by the farm team will be unveiled by the next town hall so look forward to that!

Mario Kart on Asgard

Also coming to one of the minecraft servers soon is being able to play mario kart on the modded server asgard! Featuring Grand Prix, Time Trial and Battle Mode. There will be many different classic mario kart tracks and arenas for battle mode like bowser’s castle from the N64 and Block fort also from the N64.

Forum Update

From the last town hall that everyone knows a new forum was released on our official skade gaming website and the release was amazing…however the day after, something happened and forums just crashed the whole website. All of the data is safe and still there on the database but the forum is just not on the website anymore and Jake has been working on figuring it out but it is very frustrating as the website host has been no help at all and has been absolutely horrible on support side so this is still being worked on, were unsure when it will be back so just be patient during this frustrating time.
