Midgard Farms

Public Farm Rules

  • Don’t AFK for more than 5-10 minutes while using any public farm, AFK in this case means you are off doing something where you won’t notice in-game chat or discord pings.
  • This does mean you can tab out of game to watch Youtube or something else on your computer, but make sure you either have the game loaded on another monitor or have your discord open in case another player asks to use the farm.

This is to prevent other players from feeling like they can’t use the farm while you are using it, it’s essentially just an extension of don’t be that guy.

Building Private Farms

So you want to make a private farm at your base, that’s great! However, we as the Farm Team, ask that you submit your farm if it is above our guidelines so that we can make sure it doesn’t hurt the server in terms of lag.

If your farm is below the guidelines below in the Guidelines section, then feel free to go ahead and build, with exceptions (which are mentioned in that section).

Guidelines

**You must submit your farm for review if it is or has a:

  • Guardian Farm
  • Villager Breeder
  • Raid Farm / Pillager Outpost Farm
  • Wither Skeleton Farm
  • General Mob Farm
  • Gold Farm
  • Flying Machine
  • Bartering Farm with MORE than 4 piglins

Any farm, smelter, or sorter that is automated must be separated from other farms/smelters/sorters by at least 200 blocks.

If you feel like the build is small enough to be near other redstone builds, submit it.

If your farm has the same amount or more of the blocks/entities/assemblies below, it will need to be submitted:

  • 15 state-changing blocks
  • 75 hoppers
  • 25 furnaces
  • 100 generating block
  • 20 villagers
  • 30 passive mobs
  • 25 sorters

How to Submit your Farm

You can submit your farm by attaching screenshots, clear written instructions, and/or videos from Youtube
A farm team member will then ask if you want to do a self-mockup of the farm or have a member do the mockup of the build,

if you choose for one of us to build a mockup, we will need instructions on how to build it, so not just screenshots of the build.

Please know that we want your farm/build to pass and we will help you modify the farm or build if it does not pass, so don’t worry if it doesn’t pass the first time.
